We are seeking an experienced Interim CFO for an established 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency in the DFW area. This role involves setting financial goals and policies in line with the agency's strategic plan, working closely to review and action financial variances, and preparing detailed financial reports and budgets. The position ensures compliance with funding requirements, implements and monitors financial controls, and supports the agency's financial systems. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with management to optimize operational efficiency, managing financial risks, and overseeing audits and staff within the finance department.

Job Description / Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial goals, policies, and strategies aligned with the agency's objectives, collaborating with the CEO on financial performance.
• Analyze and report on financial statements, including balance sheets, revenue and expense reports, and cash flow, to provide insights into the agency's financial health.
• Prepare and present financial reports, operating budgets, and capital budgets to the CEO, Board of Directors, and management teams.
• Ensure compliance with funding requirements, monitor cash flow, and establish internal financial controls.
• Collaborate with department heads on financial aspects of proposed projects, providing strategic financial guidance.
• Oversee audits, manage financial staff, and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

Preferred hybrid availability: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote.
