Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:Come join the Environmental Services team at Johnson Memorial Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Of New England! We are a member of the nationwide Trinity Health family, bringing compassionate care to our communities.Position Purpose:The Housekeeping Tech is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe health care environment by daily cleaning and supplying of patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, bathrooms, offices, departments, and other assigned areas.What you will do:
  • Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed department guidelines.
  • Executes proper cleaning procedure as observed by the Supervisor following patient discharges.
  • Demonstrates efficient, cost-effective and safe use of housekeeping equipment and solutions as observed by the Supervisor.
  • Performs other special assignments, which may be assigned by the Supervisor or required by the needs of the Hospital.
  • Contributes to the philosophy of quality care and human dignity at the hospital.
  • Contributes to the effective operation of the hospital by demonstrating dependability in job performance.
Physical Demands:
  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or (GED) preferred; or one to three months' related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
