Responsibilities:

  • Document Creation: Produce and revise complex legal documents using advanced MS Word skills.
  • Proofreading and Formatting: Ensure all documents are accurately formatted and error-free.
  • Document Conversion: Convert documents between different formats, such as Word to PDF.
  • Document Management: Organize and maintain digital and physical files, working with the Records Department as needed.
  • Confidentiality: Protect client and firm information, ensuring compliance with legal and firm standards.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with administrative staff and assist with other clerical tasks as needed.
  • Additional Duties: Complete other tasks as requested to support document production.

Qualifications/Background Profile:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a law firm or legal environment, preferably with a focus on document production.
  • Strong typing skills with a minimum typing speed of 60+ WPM.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word and experience with legal document management software (e.g., FileSite, iManage).
  • Familiarity with legal procedures, legal terminology, and document formatting standards.
  • Must be adept in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and document formatting.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
