As a Sr. QC Chemist in Rochester, you will support Quality Control efforts. You will perform analytical tests in accordance with approved methods in a Quality Control environment, adhering to regulatory guidelines and may be called upon to develop and use methods that are outside the scope of existing procedures. The QC Chemist is tasked with the creation and maintenance of the Quality Control laboratory's methods.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop analytical methods, validate, and improve methods and instruments.
• Perform annual impurity testing for API and generate reports to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Perform annual raw material testing for APIs and generate reports.
• Testing of samples and writing protocols and reports for qualification materials.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues in the laboratory to minimize downtime.
• Assist in maintaining the PM and calibration schedules for laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Execute special project testing as required.
• Provide support to laboratory technicians for testing in-process, final product, and wastewater samples.
• Train new laboratory technicians, and develop existing staff, and serve as a mentor and SME in the laboratory environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, or other relevant sciences.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sr. QC Chemist in a laboratory environment.
• Experience working with the microbiology technician to complete testing and reviews as needed.
• Experience performing stability pulls and reviews as necessary to assess product shelf-life.
• Experience generating protocols and reports as needed for QC.
• Experience with HPLC.

The expected salary range for this role is $73,800 - $90,200; specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location and other job-related, non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
