Position Summary Andrology and Endocrine lab responsibilities include processing and testing of andrology specimens, daily instrumentation, QC & QA, processing of all serum specimens & testing using an automated analyzer, data analysis & interpretation, and instrumentation maintenance. Reports to the Lab Manager, Lab Director, Division Director, and OB/GYN Leadership. The Associate would participate in lab coverage on a weekend and holiday rotation. Perform andrology procedures such as sperm cryopreservation and thawing, sperm vitality testing, retrograde sperm preparation Perform daily assays for serum hormone determinations Perform daily semen testing & processing for therapeutic intrauterine insemination Perform daily diagnostic semen testing Complete patient reports & enter data into electronic medical record and clinical filing system Maintain log of patient results to ensure correct patient accessioning Maintain lab patient & billing databases and sperm tank inventory Document all corrective actions when test systems deviate from the lab's established performance specifications & notify the Lab Director Perform proficiency testing in the same manner as patient's specimens for both the andrology & endocrine labs Weekend and holiday coverage is required on a rotating schedule. Remote alarm response participation required on a rotating schedule for 24-hour laboratory coverage. Embryology lab responsibilities include quality assurance and quality control requirements. The Associate is responsible to ensure the environments are optimal for the safe handling, viability, testing, and growth monitoring of all reproductive specimens including oocytes, zygotes, and embryos. The Associate can be trained to acquire all lab skills according to the Tier 1-Tier 3 schedule.

NYS Department of Education Clinical Licensed Technologist (CLT) certification required within 3 years of being employed General knowledge of operation of web-based QC platforms, electronic medical records, and document control platforms Rigorous QA and QC regarding handling of specimens and extreme care and caution in labeling and handling specimens
