Do you have a background in administrative support? Are you tech-savvy? We are currently in search of an Administrative Assistant for a Social Justice Organization located in Purchase, NY.This is a Full-Time (37.5 hrs./wk.), Hybrid, Temporary-to-Permanent assignment. ORGANIZATION TYPE: Social JusticeLOCATION: Purchase, NY (Westchester County)POSITION TITLE: Administrative AssistantSCHEDULE: Full Time (37.5 hrs./wk.); Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote)DURATION: Temporary-to-PermanentHOURLY RATE: $22-24/hr. DOEIs This Your Dream Job? The Administrative Assistant will provide support for senior team members and will have a wide range of duties to complete. Our Ideal Candidate:
  • 3-5-years' experience working in an office environment, preferably for a nonprofit
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Constant Contact (or other email marketing tool), and DonorPerfect (or other fundraising database) highly preferred
  • Strong writing skills
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter, strong organizational and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Contribute to and commit to diversity, equity, and inclusion practices
  • Possess a driver's license and have access to a car
  • Ability to work flexible hours
How You Will Spend Your Day:
  • Communication: Answering and directing phone calls, being the main contact for the organization's main email inbox
  • Make copies of all contribution checks and endorse them immediately
  • Scheduling: Organizing and scheduling appointments, meetings, and events
  • Ordering food for meetings when needed.
  • Records: Maintaining contact lists, creating and maintaining files, keeping meeting minutes
  • Reports: Preparing and distributing correspondence, memos, letters, faxes, and forms, and assisting with the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
  • Projects: Researching and creating presentations, handling multiple projects, and working on special projects
  • Finance:: Filing paid bills, monitor postage; Petty Cash; reviewing invoices
  • Office: Ordering office supplies, maintaining office equipment, and ensuring the office runs smoothly
  • Travel: Booking travel arrangements
  • Other: Providing general support to visitors, answering questions and requests, and implementing new programs, procedures, methods, and systems
