Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a REMOTE Microsoft VBA/PowerPoint Developer for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Management Consulting Firms based out of NYC (this will be supporting EST working hours). **The most critical skill for this is enterprise level customization of MS PowerPoint utilziing VBA, VSTO, and/or JavaScript depending on the appropriate environmental configuration** The Digital Technology team is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to work in a team that is responsible for developing new features and integration tools to improve productivity for proprietary Customization for Word, PowerPoint and Excel (Windows/Mac), help implement CI/CD process, automate regression testing, work with the Product Manager and UX to implement new features and improve existing features, and integrating 3rd party tools The Sr. Software Engineer should be passionate about secure coding practices, code quality and good engineering practices such as Test-Driven Development, simple code, automated testing and deployments, continuous integration and continuous deployment etc. Finally, the Sr. Software Engineer will have good communication skills and be able to explain complex technical issues in plain English to a variety of stakeholders in the larger organization. Must have a very strong understanding of the fundamental code base for PowerPoint specifically. What you will do: - Develops software solutions by studying requirements analysis and information needs; conferring with stakeholders and IT Management; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; performs software design using software development fundamentals and processes, debug, test, and deploy software solutions. - Actively participate in product design reviews by providing creative and practical ideas and solutions in a teamwork - Engage with vendors and evaluate/enhance the product in terms of architectural designs, be the key contact for the third level support for support teams, provide feedback and ideas on ways to improve our products during development, end user support. - Build proof of concept examples or graphical simulation software. Then maintain product test software and demos for training purposes. Skills: - 5+ years of experience building enterprise-level integrations with a focus on performance, scalability and security Excellent written and verbal communication skills -you effortlessly translate complex technical concepts for a non-technical audience - Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, and information retrieval. - Experience with integrating an add-in into MS Office Enterprise applications (both Windows/Mac) using VSTO, VBA, MS Office JavaScript Library. - Ability to work with security and InfoSec teams to secure approvals Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant experience SGA is a technology and resource solutions provider driven to stand out.
