ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT: Workforce & Social Services SUPERVISOR: Director & Assistant DirectorSALARY RANGE: $17-$21FLSA: Non-ExemptALL FULL TIME POSITIONS: In addition to your pay, your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 Employee plus family. CPN Workforce services personnel may be assigned to provide services to clients of all ages including but not limited to Indian Children and will require a criminal history background screening. JOB SUMMARY: Provides counseling and support with the provision of services within the context of their individual recovery. The participants may be reentering the workforce, involved in a court diversionary plan, or in need of case management plan to return or keep on a good path in life. This counselor will work with the Drug Courts, local prisons, and Behavioral Health to help identify and serve the participants. Essential Functions:• Development and implementation of Case Management Plan.• Maintains confidentiality of applicant files and records. • Informs clients of requirements of program services and provide referrals if unable to assist. • Maintains documentation and filing system of all forms, activities, and clients' files • Maintains detailed reports of statistical information of all clients placed on program as needed for evaluation of program. • Interface with Judicial, Correctional, and Behavioral Health systems to enhance client services. • Supports Lead Counselor in preparing Cultural experiences and teachings as needed including Talking Circles and Purification Ceremonies (Sweat Lodge). • Educate and create cultural experiences and work experiences. • Strengthen individual identity / self-awareness, and connectedness to positively impact recovery.
  • Perform other duties and projects as required by Administration and Management
PREFERABLE QUALIFICATIONS:• Substantial knowledge of parole, probation, social casework, drug court systems, and behavioral health or counseling. • Experience in counseling for individuals with barriers • knowledge of individual and group behavior and reciprocal relationship between individuals and their social, economic and cultural environment• interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills • ability to relate to different cultural and economic backgrounds• ability to organize time, set priorities and manage workload• Experience and familiarity with current correctional practices regarding re-entry and classification. • Experience or familiarity dealing with the needs of pre-release offenders. • Experience or familiarity with preparing discharge plans for inmates. • Knowledge of Drug Court procedures. • Knowledge of community resources. • Experience with facilitating groups or running programs. • Supports LEAD counselor in preparation and scheduling of Purification Ceremonies (SWEATS)• Supports LEAD counselor in managing a Talking Circle MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
  • H.S. diploma or GED
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in client social services or another related field.
• Peer Recovery Support Specialist Certification encouraged, if applicable. WORKING CONDITIONS:• Office environment• Some Cultural activities are outside in limited control temperature or environment.
