Hiring: President, Artpark. Artpark & Company, Inc., a renowned cultural organization located in Lewiston, NY, seeks a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as President. The ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of managerial expertise, fundraising capability, political advocacy skills, and a passion for the performing arts.Position overview:The President of Artpark & Company provides leadership, inspiration, and strategic direction to ensure Artpark achieves its annual and long-term goals in artistic excellence, facilities improvement, financial sustainability, and community engagement. The President oversees and is accountable for all aspects of Artpark's portfolio, including artistic programming, internal operations, community & indigenous programming, financial management, facilities management, and fundraising.Job Responsibilities:Leadership & ManagerialDemonstrates proficiency in financial management, operations oversight, and effective people management.Manages the senior team by setting expectations, leading the creation and implementation of long-term strategic vision, and delegating and providing support as appropriate.Works collaboratively with the board of directors to set strategic goals and drive organizational success.Fundraising CapabilityMaintains a track record in fundraising from public, private, and foundation sources.Articulates a compelling vision for Artpark rooted in a strategic plan and inspire stakeholders to support the organization.Oversees the development team, engages political, non-profit, cultural, funding, and neighboring establishment leaders to create lasting and beneficial partnerships.Partners with the Board to develop and execute a transformational capital campaign that encompasses major gifts, corporate and foundation funding, and special events.Community Engagement and Political AdvocacyCollaborates effectively, with the ability to navigate political landscapes and advocate for Artpark's interests.Engages comfortably with politicians from differing political perspectives.Possesses deep familiarity with the cultural and political landscape of New York State or quickly acclimates to the environment.Performing Arts & Concert BookingBrings experience in live performances, festivals, workshops, and programming that celebrates indigenous arts and culture.Understands the significance of the performing arts in enriching communities.Curates a balanced mix of profitable performances and loss-leading events to ensure financial stability and cultural impact.Project Management / Construction ManagementSelf-manages or hires appropriate personnel/firms for construction-related projects.Job QualificationsBachelor's or master's Degree in business, public administration, non-profit management, or related field.Strong background in performing & experimental arts, music, and related areas.Candidates with strong leadership experience in other sectors are encouraged to apply.Required Experience:Possesses a minimum of ten years of experience with a proven track record in strategic planning, development, finance management, project management, and managing a senior team.Maintains a successful track record of fundraising, including securing major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and grants from public and private foundations.Demonstrates strong ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including board members, community leaders, artists, donors, and government officials.Brings experience in public speaking and serve as the face of an organization in media, fundraising, and community settings.Works effectively with a complex set of stakeholders.Acts as a public spokesperson for and interprets the mission and programs of Artpark to the community at large.Exhibits familiarity with pre-construction and construction management processes.Demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with the Board and staff. Understands and has a passion for the arts, with the ability to articulate a vision that aligns with Artpark & Company's mission and strategic goals.Develops and curates diverse artistic and indigenous programs that engage the community and attract a wide audience.Artpark & Company values diverse perspectives and experiences.
