Job Description :

Account Receivable Specialist We have an immediate need for a great culture and company in La Crosse! This is a Try-before-hire position that is full-time and onsite! Wage: $20 per hour Job Summary We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Account Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and maximizing cash flow for the organization. The Account Receivable Specialist will work closely with customers, internal departments, and external partners to resolve payment issues and maintain positive relationships. Responsibilities

  • Generate and distribute accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner.
  • Verify invoice accuracy, including pricing, quantities, and discounts.
  • Monitor incoming payments and reconcile them with invoices.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and arrange payment plans as needed.
  • Process credit card payments and handle electronic fund transfers.
  • Initiate collections calls and emails to follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Maintain records of collection efforts and customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing disputes and discrepancies.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy
  • Investigate and resolve reconciling items and discrepancies.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving billing issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate timely payments.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in accounting
  • Proven experience as an Account Receivable Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in manufacturing preferred.
