POSITION SUMMARY: The Project Manager plans, oversees, and manages projects at Sampled that are critical to the function and success of the business. Supports and maintains exceptional client satisfaction and business performance metrics. This position will be based at Sampled's Headquarters in Piscataway, New Jersey. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively manage multiple or large complex projects ensuring project requirements and desired outcomes are met, and are aligned with company strategy, commitments and goals. Create and maintain accurate project plans using appropriate project management tools.
- With support from the Senior Project Manager, perform data analysis and reporting for existing and future projects based on forecast information.
- Organize both internal and external meetings with key stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal peers and external partners.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to manage project deliverables, e.g. CMO's, Supply Chain.
- Lead the development of the integrated project plan (timeline, milestones, and deliverables) in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. Project plans must be maintained for accuracy.
- Play a critical role in helping the team identify project risks, understanding their impact and implementing mitigation strategies. Responsible for providing support to lab units in a dynamic capacity given project deadlines.
- Assists management and directors in preparation of contract and grant proposals, progress reports, and developing budgeting and cost allocation information.
- Interfaces closely cross functionally on the implementation of business systems and tools and other continuous improvement projects.
- Conducts and leads project kick-off meetings to inform internal processing labs of project goals, scope, budget, and timelines.
- With support from the Senior Project Manager, perform data analysis and reporting for existing and future projects based on forecast information.
- Prepares for and hosts client visits
- Partner with direct manager, lab operations team, and quality to resolve observations and deviations based on results. Create, review, and edit SOPs as applicable.
- Develops schemas, workflows, and queries to compile, summarize, and analyze data for recurring technical reports. These should be consistent across all Commercial Project Management.
- Collaborate with direct manager to coordinate effective customer business review meetings with the Business Development and Comm Ops teams.
- Manage short and long-term customer project forecasts in collaboration with business development.
- Effectively facilitate a lessons learned event at the conclusion of projects to ensure capture of best practices, receive constructive feedback, and develop solutions and action plans to make the next project a success.
- With the support of the Senior Project Manager, translates protocol-level sample needs into clearly defined deliverables in support for each individual study or project.
- Develop and communicate status to PMO leadership.
- Monitor execution and quality to customer/stakeholder/sponsor standards.
- Provide strong team leadership and drive to ensure projects are executed on-time and within budget.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in field of Life Sciences, Genetics, or Molecular Biology.
- 3 or more years of experience in a customer facing role.
- PMP, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.
- Understanding of the sample logistic process and a strong ability to anticipate and navigate through challenges.
- Demonstrates knowledge of Project Management methods in order to support the business and customer needs.
- Demonstrates consistently good communication and interpersonal skills with colleagues, management and clients. Strong stakeholder management skills internally and externally, with ability to build relationships, resolve conflict, navigate through challenges and influence outcomes.
- Strong organization skills, with attention to priorities, effectively meeting deadlines and responding in a timely manner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
