For more than 150 years our client has been committed to offering world class solutions for the metals industry while building a better future for their employees and community.As the CNC and Manual Machinist you will assist in the production of parts by setting up and operating Manual and CNC Mills and Lathes to machine parts for the production floor.Duties/Responsibilities
- Machine components using machining equipment such as horizontal mills, boring mills, planer mills, and lathes.
- Perform machine setups and routine maintenance.
- CNC conversational programming on some machines. (Siemens and Centroid controls used for programming).
- Inspect and measure components to ensure correct tolerances are met.
- Ability to work within tight tolerances.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work from blueprints, sketches, and/or drawings.
Pay and Shift info
- $25-32/hour based on previous experience.
- 2nd shift 315pm to 145am Monday-Thursday, with OT on Friday from 10am-3pm.
- Must be able to train on1st shift, 5am to 330pm Monday-Thursday, with OT on Friday from 5am-10am
- Direct Hire opportunity with the company.
Skills/Qualifications
- 3 years' experience working with Manual or CNC Mills and/or Lathes.
- Ability to read drawings and use precise measuring equipment.
- Experience with editing CNC programs a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Candidates will be subject pre-employment screening.
