CM&W is looking for an Inventory Control Specialist at our Hannibal, MO location. The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining an accurate reflection of on-hand inventory. Whether using a warehouse tracking software or using a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system tools, they should also investigate inventory discrepancies and their root cause.

What Youll Do:

  • Utilize a Safety-First mindset.
  • Provide customer service to the divisional team members and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Maintain an accurate record of all on-hand inventory, including transfers, scheduled cycle counts, and critical cycle counts as needed. Lead physical inventory counts.
  • Analyze and propose obsolete inventory to management. Once determined, decide best avenue for relieving inventory.
  • Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between on-hand inventory and the physical count by validating inventory has been accurately recorded in the MRP system.
  • Report quality and conformance concerns regarding on-hand inventory to Quality and Purchasing. Coordinate the vendor return and work with Purchasing and Accounting to ensure credits are received.
  • Prepare, generate, and communicate inventory findings through variance reporting and MRP transactions. Review monthly with management.
  • Assure all bins, aisles, and storage areas are clean, organized with labels and laid out in accordance the division's standards. Ownership of process improvement meaning suggestions, to ensure accuracy and compliance is welcomed.

What Youll Need:

  • Ability to work Monday through Friday 7am-4pm onsite, with overtime as needed.
  • Minimum three years experience in a warehouse setting. Familiarity with warehouse operations and MRP systems. Inventory control experience.
  • Associate's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Organizational skills and a detail-oriented focus
  • Proficiency with basic computer and office equipment.
  • Verbal and written communication proficiency
  • Results-driven, self-starter attitude
  • Excellent time management skills.
