AT A GLANCE: Are you passionate about creating enriching experiences for youth and families in a health-focused environment? Join our management team as the Camp and Program Director! In this leadership role, you'll oversee the design, development, and management of our Summer Camp, Youth Programs, Kids Club, School-Aged Childcare, and Aquatics. Your expertise in program development, team leadership, and customer service will be key to fostering a vibrant, engaging atmosphere for our members and their families. As the Camp and Program Director, you will be the direct supervisor for the following departments, but not limited to: Summer Camp, Youth Programs, Childcare, Birthday Parties, and Aquatics.   • Extensive experience in Youth Programming, Customer Service, and managing activities for children ages 6 months to 14 years.
  • 3-5 years of experience, preferably within a camp, health club, or youth program environment.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with diverse staff and clientele.
  • Certification in Lifeguarding, WSI, First Aid and CPR (or willingness to become certified).
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of, but not limited to, youth programs, aquatics, seasonal camps, and wellness activities in alignment with our health club's mission and goals.
  • Direct supervisor of the Assitant Aquatics Director.
  • Manage and supervise program staff, ensuring high-quality instruction, enthusiasm, and adherence to best practices in child development and safety.
  • Oversee the care and maintenance of all program and camp facilities and equipment, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.
  • Planning and managing profit centers that are being overseen.
  • Drive program growth by actively engaging with the community, building relationships with members, and developing strategies to increase enrollment and participation.
  • Work closely with the Assitant Aquatics Director to coordinate swim programs, including class schedules, instructor assignments, and pool management.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and distribute promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, and social media content, to showcase the benefits and unique features of our programs.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations to enhance program offerings and expand resources available to youth participants.
  • Represent the health club and its programs at community events, fostering strong relationships and promoting our offerings to a broader audience.
  • Provide personalized support to members and prospective clients throughout the enrollment process, including addressing inquiries, conducting tours, and facilitating registrations.
  • Oversee the development and execution of special events, workshops, and family-oriented activities that complement the club's programs and engage members in new and exciting ways.
PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF THE JOB:
  • Ability to lead and participate in physical activities, including standing, bending, stretching, and managing exposure to sun and heat during outdoor activities.
  • Competency in communicating and providing necessary instruction to staff and participants in various group settings.
  • Physical ability to respond to emergencies, administer First Aid, and assist participants during emergencies.
OTHER JOB DUTIES:
  • This position may involve occasional evening and weekend work, particularly during peak program seasons.
  • The role requires flexibility to work both indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions, depending on program needs.
