We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dispatch Operations Manager to oversee operational activities associated with emergencies and other real time grid conditions. The role will be responsible for hiring and training staff to create a reliable and accurate operational center controlling notifications and resources for millions of customers. Help us reduce the impact of climate change by reducing GHG emissions, reducing the use of fossil fuel plants and avoiding rolling blackouts to make a safer and healthier planet for everyone. You are detail oriented and have previously demonstrated applicable experience preferably with an understanding of the energy industry. Must be able to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment. What You Will Do •Be responsible for ensuring Olivine meets all of its responsibilities to ensure success of the programs we implement and administer. •Act as primary point of contact for all dispatch operational activities including reporting. •Oversee the operations of the programs working with appropriate program and department managers. •Oversee budget, staffing, workflow and quality control of the operations. •Provide guidance and support to team members to transfer knowledge, develop expertise and to ensure operational excellence is achieved. •Initial operations require coverage 7 days per week until at least 10 p.m. PT from May - October. •Position will require some travel to Olivine offices in California. Train the trainer model to be employed. •Ensure management, team members and partners are kept up to date on status', capture escalations and resolve issues. What You Bring •Bachelors degree in a quantitative field such as math, statistics, engineering, quantitative finance, or business •5+ years of experience in the energy industry preferred •Previous demonstrated operational and workflow management experience. •Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills. •High level of proficiency in Excel. •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization •Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams •Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment balancing multiple priorities simultaneously •Knowledge of demand response and energy wholesale markets is a plus.
