Job Description for Experiential Learning Coordinator

The selected candidate will coordinate and develop hands-on learning experiences for a variety of learners at NY CREATES facilities, including internships, co-ops, and similar activities. The candidate will collaborate with NY CREATES staff, staff from affiliated or partner research institutes, industry partners, and community partners, to create opportunities that enhance participant learning and professional development. The candidate will manage program logistics, coordinate learner mentoring, evaluate outcomes, and support learners throughout their experiential learning programming.

Job Responsibilities for the Experiential Learning Coordinator include but are not limited to:

  • Manage experiential learner recruiting, onboarding, and housing coordination where applicable.
  • Coordinator experiential learner projects, interface with supervisors, and organize the experiential learner poster sessions or presentations.
  • Oversee experiential learner mentoring and program assessments.
  • Collect, collate, and analyze program metrics and reporting, and participate in relevant externa, conferences, tradeshows, and workshops.
  • Other reasonable duties assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements for Experiential Learning Coordinator

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field in support of STEM-based workforce engagement from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or other internationally recognized accrediting organization.
  • Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Experience engaging with industry and academic partners.
  • Required abilities include strong written and oral communication skills, strong organizational skills, and demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and social media outlets.

This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.

Preferred Requirements for Experiential Learning Coordinator

  • Experience in onboarding experiential learners (e.g. students) for internships, co-ops, etc.
  • Experience interfacing with higher educational institutions and college-level students & faculty.

Salary Range: $60,000-$65,000

*Posted ranges are determined upon experience and education
