Job DetailsJob Location New Rochelle - New Rochelle, NY Position Type Full Time Education Level High School/ Equivalent Salary Range $17.00 - $17.00 Hourly Description The Mail Services Department provides support for the University community for all mail service's needs. The Mail Services Clerk provides assistance and support to the Mail Services Department. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for handling duties in the University's Mail Services Department, including receiving and sorting mail, distributing mail across various College departments, selling postage, weighing packages, stamping envelopes, and assisting the College community.
  • Deliver and pick up envelopes and packages
  • Provide mailing solutions to College departments
  • Process outgoing mail using optimal services and costs
  • Sort incoming and inter-office mail
  • Operate campus owned vehicles
QualificationsRequired Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Driver's License
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: To be successful in this position, candidates will need the following:
  • Computer skills, including the ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook), postage equipment and tracking systems
  • Oral, written, and listening communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to establish and maintain partnerships in a professional manner
