The Nell will debut its first hotel outside of Aspen at Rockefeller Center in New York City in 2026.Job Description SummaryThe Expediter is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of orders from the waiters to the kitchen.Job Posting DeadlineApplications for this position will be accepted until September 30, 2024.Essential Job Functions Make service faster and better to help enhance our quality and reputation.Ensure the efficient flow of orders from the waiters to the kitchen.Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority.Assist in the final preparation of dishes.Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation, and temperature.Deliver orders to maintain fast service.Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning.Transfer important information between the kitchen and the wait staff (e.g. when a customer has a particular request).Handle complaints from clients to preserve the restaurant's reputation.Responsible for assisting all team members in organization of kitchen items, to include, dry goods, kitchen equipment, storage containers, cleaning supplies, and proper rotation and organization of all food deliveries.Understanding of health and safety rules in a restaurant.Dexterity in using kitchen equipment or utensils and carry heavy trays.Excellent communication skills.Outstanding coordination and multi-tasking abilities.A customer-oriented approach.Great physical endurance.Qualifications • High school diploma; Higher degree in hospitality or relevant field will be appreciated.Additional Information Supervision Given and ReceivedGiven: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Received: Works under direct supervision of the Chef de Cuisine. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently.
