Job Summary:

The Commercial Closing Transactions Manager will oversee and manage the end-to-end process of closing CMBS transactions. This role involves coordinating with various internal teams, external stakeholders, and service providers to ensure that transactions are executed smoothly and in accordance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of CMBS structures, excellent project management skills, and the ability to navigate complex transactions with precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Management: Oversee the entire closing process for CMBS transactions, ensuring all activities are completed on time and in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between internal departments (e.g., legal, underwriting, finance) and external parties (e.g., borrowers, servicers, trustees).
  • Documentation: Review and manage the preparation, execution, and distribution of closing documents, including loan agreements, deeds of trust, and other pertinent legal documents.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct thorough reviews of transaction documentation and perform due diligence to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the closing process, working collaboratively with all parties involved.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the transaction process.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular status reports on transaction progress, identifying potential risks and recommending solutions.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve closing processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years minimum of experience
  • Will be taking a loan from term sheet to funding

Need to have a background in:

  • Loan documents
  • Legal/technical requirements
  • Diligence
  • Scope of diligence on legal side
  • All legal related to diligence

Supporting trader- managing all diligence, site visits, loan summaries, loan docs from seller and interface with counsel.
