As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to join & lead our growing team at our manufacturing site in the Southeastern region of Wisconsin. **Job Summary:**

The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, and safety. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational management skills to ensure the facility meets production goals, maintains high quality standards, and operates efficiently.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Operational Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the plant to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
  • Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and budgets to meet business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage plant personnel, including supervisors and line staff.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and support professional development.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure all products meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes and procedures.
  • Address and resolve quality issues promptly to minimize production disruptions.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety regulations and protocols.
  • Conduct regular safety training and audits to prevent workplace accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agencies.
  • Manage environmental and waste management practices to comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

Maintenance and Equipment Management:

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and machinery.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
  • Evaluate and recommend capital improvements and equipment upgrades.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Prepare and manage the plant budget, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and manage expenses to stay within budgetary constraints.
  • Analyze financial reports and adjust operations as needed to meet financial targets.

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute plant strategies aligned with corporate goals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation.
  • Manage plant projects, including new product introductions and process enhancements.

**Qualifications:**

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Business Administration, or a related field. (Master's degree or MBA preferred).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in plant management or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing production operations and leading teams.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.

Certifications:

  • Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Project Management (e.g., PMP) are a plus.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and manage plant operations outside of regular business hours as needed.
