GENERAL DESCRIPTION Customer service representative responsible for processing non-emergent in-bound and out-bound calls to other medical professionals while maintaining excellent customer service and a positive attitude. ENTRY LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS 1 Year Call Center experience preferred Medical terminology experience preferred ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Accept non-emergent in-bound calls from hospitals, nursing homes and other healthcare facilities Accurately enter patient information and medical necessity Contact facilities to schedule non-emergent transports Verify patient insurance/benefits Verify that correct paperwork has been submitted and uploaded into CAD software KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Detail-oriented Excellent time management skills Accurate and efficient data entry skills Ability to use a variety of office equipment and EMS CAD system software Ability to remain calm during stressful situations Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak clearly Ability to present a caring and professional image over the telephone Ability to interact with others in a positive, cooperative and professional manner WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS The schedule will be three 14-hours days per week: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Shift hours will be 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, which may include holidays. Occasional overtime may be needed. This position includes sedentary work with prolonged periods of sitting.
