Job Description:
SUNY Delhi seeks a Central Receiving Worker to join the Facilities Department. SUNY Delhi prides itself on being a welcoming college community for all. Duties:
* Receives UPS, DHL, FedEx and all truck deliveries to the campus central receiving warehouse
* Reviews packing slips with delivery, scans, records receiving and delivery of packages and freight
* Set-up routes for delivery
* Uses a variety of hand carts and lifting equipment to move large items
* Creates Work orders for Moving crew to deliver packages/freight over 50 lbs. Coordinates packing slips with correct purchase orders and makes file copy and distributes to accounts payable
* Communicates with staff about orders and received freight/packages
* For packages less than 50 lbs uses campus vehicle to deliver packages to offices
* Uses scanner for Q-Trak to track receiving and deliveries
* Provides offices with copy paper
* Provides additional help in campus mail room to sort and deliver mail and also be trained on the mail machine
* Assists Secretary I with entering closed Work Orders from maintenance shops and file completed Work Orders
* Maintains dock, stairs and ramp free of snow and Ice. Maybe used for snow and ice control across campus when needed.
* Perform cleaning of Central Receiving area
Requirements:
* Applicants must be physically able to perform medium to heavy physical labor
* Must possess a valid New York State driver's license and acceptable driving record
* Applicants must also be able to speak, read, and understand English
* Basic computer skills are preferred
Additional Information:
* Part-time, 12 month position
* Neg unit - CSEA 03
* Starting Salary: $16.36 Hourly, Salary Grade 06
* Schedule: Day Shift (Monday-Friday) 9:30 am- 3:30 pm
* Reports to: Manager of buildings and grounds
