Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the efficient operation of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment. The Industrial Maintenance Technician will play a critical role in minimizing downtime, optimizing equipment performance, and maintaining a safe working environment.Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance and Repair: - Perform preventive maintenance tasks and conduct routine inspections on machinery, equipment, and systems to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems and implement effective repair solutions to minimize downtime and production disruptions.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery components as needed.
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: - Analyze equipment malfunctions and identify root causes of failures using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Develop troubleshooting strategies and implement corrective actions to address recurring issues and prevent future breakdowns.
- Collaborate with production personnel and engineering teams to resolve technical problems and optimize equipment reliability.
Safety and Compliance: - Adhere to all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in safety training programs and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards or safety concerns, reporting findings to management for resolution.
Documentation and Record-Keeping: - Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory of spare parts.
- Document equipment modifications, upgrades, and repairs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facilitate future maintenance tasks.
Continuous Improvement: - Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements in equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean manufacturing projects, to enhance overall equipment effectiveness and productivity.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; Technical diploma or certification in industrial maintenance preferred.
- Proven experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with industrial controls, PLCs, and automation systems preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
