Floor Technicians in the Elcor Housekeeping department play an essential role in maintaining a safe, healthy, and inviting environment. Keeping floors clean and well-maintained can prevent accidents, improve indoor air quality, reduce the spread of germs and bacteria, extend the life of flooring, and create a positive impression of the appearance of spaces in our building. 1 year prior relevant experience preferred. Hours are primarily 6:30am to 3:00pm, but will rotate to 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM as necessary.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Cleaning: Sweeping, mopping, and cleaning carpetsMaintenance: Stripping, waxing, and buffing floorsEquipment Operation: Using floor cleaning machines like buffers, scrubbers, and vacuumsSafety: Following safety procedures and guidelines, adhering to organizational safety, risk management, and infection control standardsPreventative Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining equipment, recommending supply needsOther Tasks: Assisting with other cleaning tasks, such as light window and wall cleaningReporting: Reporting any maintenance or repair needs to a supervisorOther duties as assigned
