Daily maintenance of compressor stations to effectively support pipeline operations while minimizing downtime and maximizing availability and uptime for remote control by pipeline Gas Control departmentIdentify, perform or schedule annual, monthly and regular maintenance checks on station meters, regulators, valves, valve operators, station inlet scrubber, roof fans, air compressors for the successful operations of compressor stationsSupport Compression department and new construction project commissioning. This support includes, providing feedback and guidance to construction leads toward completion of projects, including, working with contractors to set-up, calibrate, activate & start-up equipment and provide point to point identification and verify automation systems are operating properly.Ensure regulatory compliance tasks meet requirements of PHMSA and State & Federal Air quality permits through annual equipment/process inspections; operations and support for emissions testing, state and federal compressor station sight inspections and work orders to support regulatory requirements.Support overall department and corporate goals which support the strategic objectives of the corporation including Safety, Team, Service, Improve, Growth, EDI support and address safety objectives, individual professional development in skills, position progression, internal-external customer service, successful compression dept project execution.Performing valve and regulator inspectionsCalibration of transmittersWho you are:
- High school diploma required, advanced technical education preferred.
- 3 years field technician experience in industrial process equipment repair and operations support. Process automation / troubleshooting preferred.
- Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate and explore alternative solutions.
- Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule on a short-term basis (day-to-day, week-to-week).
- Ability to make decisions which have impact on the immediate work unit.
- Ability to compose letters, outlines, memoranda, and basic reports and to verbally communicate technical information.
- Ability to communicate with customers utilizing the telephone.
- Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret numerical data for reporting purposes.
