The Bank Operations Manager oversees the deposit operations division of the bank and is responsible for the development, communication, and implementation of all aspects of deposit operations activities. Responsibilities
- Provide overall direction regarding the bank's deposit account activities to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services to customers through all platforms, both in the branch and digital.
- Responsible for recommending, planning, implementation and control of activities designed to achieve strategic objectives.
- Responsible for management of operations team, including training, coaching and performance management.
- Ensure the highest level of customer service and support is provided.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
- Support branch staff in handling complex or more difficult situations.
- Evaluate and identify areas of fraud and risk and implement appropriate measures to mitigate loss.
- Evaluate operating procedures for effectiveness and efficiency, as well as updating procedures in collaboration with departments involved.
- Ensure bank procedures comply with approved Bank policies.
- Oversee processing of legal actions, garnishments, levies, subpoenas.
- Maintains relationships with industry groups to keep informed of changes in federal and state regulations with procedures updated accordingly.
- Assist managers with analyzing training needs, reviewing possible curriculum and courses available, and developing effective training programs for individual's job growth.
- Coordinate with administration and branch staff in preparation for new project or service implementation, ensuring appropriate training and support.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as defined by Executive Management.
Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance or related field with equivalent experience.
- 8-10 years Bank Operations experience, including supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communications.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in a team environment.
- Effective coaching and training skills
- Familiarity with bank-specific software and general office applications.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Uphold the highest level of confidentiality regarding bank information systems and customer records.
- Valid Driver's License - travel to bank branches required to assist with operational functions.
