Job Description Position Summary The Maintenance Technician I will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventive, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks. They will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the Company policies, goals, and objectives. Position Responsibilities - Essential Demonstrates a safety-first mindset and approach in execution of all duties Performs both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment from basic hydraulic and mechanical equipment Replaces and repairs parts, rebuild equipment, align gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts Performs Preventive and Predictive maintenance on production equipment Effectively troubleshoots failures and works in team environment to determine root causes of failure Participates in plant shift meeting and continuous improvement activities Participates in a maintenance training program to improve knowledge, skills, and abilities Develops skills in mechanical, electrical and HVAC field Utilizes CMMS system to manage work orders, create and review work history, and manage parts use Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities Position Responsibilities - Non-Essential/Other Develops, prepares, and presents recommendations and reports as requested Other duties and special projects as assigned Essential Skills and Experience Ability to provide proof of being fully vaccinated for COVID-19, if applicable to this job site, subject to applicable exceptions under federal and state law High School diploma or GED equivalent At least 2 years of experience, preferably by formal training, in principles and standards for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment operations Demonstrates behavior in support of a positive work environment while safely executing assigned tasks Strong communication skills, both verbal and written High motivated, disciplined problem-solver/troubleshooter Strong ethics and ability to work in team environment Basic Computer skills Ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume environment, and have a strong attention to detail Ability to work in a manufacturing environment or distribution center environment Able to diagnose equipment faults and malfunctions Ability to be a proactive self-starter Above average mechanical aptitude Ability to operate powered lift equipment (Forklift, wave picker, hoists, etc.) Strong mathematical skills to include basic algebra for calculation of electrical/electronic equations as applicable Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s) Beneficial Skills and Experience Post-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate is preferred Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts Experience with CMMS iMaint Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and PLC systems Benefits 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Company Match Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Paid Holidays Paid Vacation Time Life Insurance Disability Insurance Prescription Insurance Flexible Spending Accounts Safety Training Continuous Learning Environment.
