GOM Drilling and Completions Advisors and EngineersOur Client is an International Energy company with offshore Gulf of Mexico operations encompassing the entire value chain of oil and gas exploration and production, with a focus on safety, environmental stewardship, and technological innovation.Client is seeking multiple D&C Advisors and Engineers to support their wellsite operations offshore GOMDuration: 1 Year with opportunity for extensionLocation: Offshore GOMWork Schedule: 14x14 rotationThe GOM Drilling & Completions Advisors and Engineers will be part of the GOM D&C Completions Engineering Department and will support the Offshore Gulf of Mexico Business Unit. The D&C Advisor will be responsible for supervising drilling and completion operations at the wellsite, and coordinating operations, personnel and equipment while assuring that activities are carried out with the best results in terms of safety, time and cost effectiveness, in accordance with Client's procedures, HSEQ standards and good petroleum engineering practices.Responsibilities
- Reviewing drilling and completion programs to ensure the plan is done in accordance to Client's procedures and considering each single operation with particular attention to well integrity and operational safety
- Supervising drilling and completion operations representing the Client at the wellsite
- Supervising and coordinating activity of Contractors personnel involved in the operations at the wellsite
- Monitoring the consumptions and stock of materials available and request personnel, services, equipment and material in due time in order to avoid any delay in the operations
- Reporting on regular basis on the progress of operations and agree on any corrective action if necessary, providing support in the resolution of operational problems, including analysis of Real Time Drilling Data from site
- Ensuring lessons learnt and related recommendations are captured and shared to allow for improvement of next operations
- Participating as a member of the emergency task force in event of major emergency, taking immediate actions to safeguard personnel, assets and environment
- Be an effective communicator, both written and verbal with office-based teams, field personnel and contractor support team
Required
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Minimum five (5) years engineering experience in oil & gas industry and deepwater drilling and completions operations including the following:
- HPHT Drilling, Managed Pressure Drilling
- Drilling Operations (Horizontal Drilling, Drilling Fluids & Cement)
- Advanced Drilling: Lean Profile, Underbalance Drilling, HPHT Drilling, Managed Pressure Drilling, Extended Reach Drilling, Wellbore Stability
- Completion and work-over operations (Well Testing, Gravel Pack, Well Stimulation)
- Advanced Completion: Dual Completion, Intelligent Completion
- Rigless Operations
- Economics: cost analysis/cost control
- Software: good knowledge of the main available software in the market for well data management and reporting
- Digitalization: familiar with the digitalization process including Real Time Monitoring, rig site drilling packages for performance optimization and rig automatization processes
- Familiarity with pertinent Gulf of Mexico regulations, sand control completions, gravel pack
design, subsea completions, OHGPs, perforating design, GOM P&As, floating and platform rigoperations, tubing design
- Hard worker and willing to mentor and learn
- Willingness to work Night Shift (preferred)
- Must pass Drug Screen and Background/Pre-Employment Screening Checks
- Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship
- Must pass a medical evaluation of fitness to work per Client's standards
