Glen-Gery products are sold nationally through a network of over 500 distributors as well as in Canada.The Design Studio Manager is responsible for the long-term sustainable growth by gaining specifications for stylish products on volume projects, managing the Design Studio space as a unique event destination. The manager is also responsible for providing input on product development initiatives and assisting with the execution of sales strategy.SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies including but not limited to a weekly events program in line with budget;
  • Establish and maintain relationships with decision makers such as but not limited to, architects, building designers, interior designers, key builders, developers and retail customers;
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal contacts, with particular focus on sales teams and product development;
  • Develop, manage, and collaborate with Design Studio partners to maintain and build on existing customer base
  • Encourage strong working relationship with Design Studio partners to ensure superior service
  • Achieve budgets and operational costs targets
  • Grow opportunity targets by developing relationships with architects and designers by direct reach out, attending industry events and office visits as necessary
  • Implement strategies and tactics to develop new project opportunities and achieve design studio sales targets
  • Demonstrate expertise in construction documents to provide technical advice
  • Demonstrate sound working knowledge of Health and Safety policies and procedures

  • Supervisory skills including ability to develop subordinates and delegate responsibility

Education and Experience Requirements
  • College degree in architectural, interior design, engineering or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of building product materials and construction industry
  • Three to five years previous experience in sales/customer service supervision
