Embroidery Machine OperatorReports ToEmbroidery SupervisorDescriptionAs an Embroidery Operator,this role is responsible for operating a computerized 1-6 heads Embroiderymachine to process customer requested specialty orders including uniforms, specialevent apparel, caps, etc.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Efficient andsafe operation of multi-head embroidery machinery; consistently meets goals
- Maintainsunderstanding of the operating procedure in the department
- Enter threadcolors into the machine, double check garment, count and style are accurate.
- Handles theproper placement of design, hooping and thread colors.
- Retrieve designsfrom the computer and enter it into the embroidery machine.
- Performs qualityproduction at reasonable speeds, taking full advantage of the equipmentavailable
- Ensures thattargets are met for quality, productivity, and lead time with minimal misprints
- Make necessarymachine adjustments with minor downtime
- Operates,maintains, and performs routine service on any equipment used in the completionof these tasks
- Maintains aclean, well-organized work area, and adheres to safe work practice
- Other duties asassigned by Supervisor
Qualifications
- High schooldiploma or equivalent
- Ability to standfor an extended period time while using hands and arms
- Ability to worksafely with moving machinery
- Ability to read,write, and speak English
- Learn tasksquickly, be detailed oriented, accuracy driven, personable, team oriented, andpunctual with excellence in attendance.
- Candidates arerequired to see and differentiate colors for accuracy in inspecting the productduring and after being processed.
- Ability to workovertime as needed
- Able to applycommon sense and strategic thinking in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Detail orientedwith a high standard of quality
- Self-motivatedindividual with the ability to work with minimal supervision and constantdirection.
