Posting DetailsPosition Information Position Title Teacher Job Description Serves as primary preschool teacher for a group of children; demonstrates a warm, calm, and an unhurried manner while attentive to children; serves as a role model for children and university students; provides for theeducation, care, safety, and well-being of all children in the group; meets the children's emotional, social, physical, and intellectual needs; plans and implements developmentally appropriate learning activities; maintains a cooperative relationship with children, co-workers, university students, and parents; demonstrates increasing understanding of child growth and development in working with children, in talking with parents, and in recording activities; attends staff meetings, attends in-service training, keeps current on developments in field of child development; follows personnel policies of the Child Development Center and the University; manages a safe, clean, and pleasant environment for young children; and performs any related duties as assignedRequired Qualifications Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development; minimum Associate Degree or CDA; Credentials or High School Diploma with at least 3 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specifiedPreferred Qualifications Knowledge and experience working with school-age children 2 to 4 years of age, which includes activities and interest and safety issues; must have the ability to be patient, give direction without being unreasonable; negotiation skills and the ability to be consistent; possess the ability to be fair and set reasonable rules; ability to plan and prioritize work and time; ability to react and move quickly; ability to foresee problems and redirect children before an incident occurs; ability to consult and talk with parentsPhysical Demands Lifting, pushing and carrying at least 40 pound, sit and stand for 30 minutes to an hour; have near and far vision correctable and depth perception; be able to hear all types of sounds;be able to read stories to the children; be perceptive and aware of all children in your carePosting Detail Information Posting Number SF593P Open Date 11/01/2023 Close DateOpen Until Filled Yes Special Instructions to Applicants
