Forget, for a second, where you came from, and leave with a memory that keeps you coming back.Job SummaryThe Housekeeping Manager spearheads the housekeeping operations of the hotel to ensure clean laundry practices are being followed according to sanitary regulations. Performs regular inspections for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance.Core Responsibilities
- Develop the planning, organization, and direction of housekeeping operations in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines
- Develops and ensures department budget can supply adequate resources to conduct housekeeping operations
- Ensure that the cleanliness standards of the guest's rooms, lobby areas, meeting and lounging areas are met and adapt towards guest service scores and comments
- Performs regular checks on inventory supplies, equipment, and linen as necessary
- Responsible for adequate staffing in housekeeping department
- Interviews, hires, trains, and develops staff
- Directs daily housekeeping shift operations, and ensures scheduled employees
- Conduct routine inspections of both the interior and exterior of the hotel
- Interact positively with guests and take action to resolve problems to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction and quality
- Evaluate condition of furniture, fixtures, decor, etc. Make recommendations and assist in the coordination of preventative maintenance program and rehab projects.
- Ensure compliance of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and policies.
- Operate department pursuant to OSHA requirements and guidelines
What we are looking for
- Experience managing a large housekeeping team
- 10+ years of hotel or resort experience
- 2+ years of experience in a luxury/ultra-luxury brand hotel
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 15lbs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
