SummaryThe Specialized Logistics Carrier Representative is responsible for enhancing and increasing the carrier/shipper base for WSL through customer service, dispatch, and booking loads. He/she will contact existing, inactive, or potential carriers to secure shipments for current and future customer requirements; evaluate and maintain a carrier base in the data system on an ongoing basis; and maintain updated information on all available shipments.Duties and Essential Job Functions• Negotiate rates with logistics providers, entering and recording all terms and conditions of shipment agreements.• Attract and retain qualified carriers and logistic providers.• Qualify new customers/shipments, matching WSL requirements with carrier's needs and profile.• Respond to customer request for service and resolve customer issues.• Communicates with the operations team on load status and problems that may arise.• Manages a book of business in excess of a million dollars annually.• Performs other duties, tasks, or responsibilities as assigned.Education and Experience•High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree, or equivalent work experience.• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.• Strong problem solving and negotiating skills.• Customer service orientated.• Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.• Proficient computer and internet skills.SummaryThe Specialized Logistics Carrier Representative is responsible for enhancing and increasing the carrier/shipper base for WSL through customer service, dispatch, and booking loads.
