We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shipping and Receiving Clerk with experience working in a detail-oriented environment. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk position is responsible for the physical processing of orders, receiving inventory, and general inventory management. The ideal candidate will be a good communicator, like working with people and have at least 1 year of experience working in a warehouse or similar setting. They will also be someone who enjoys working in a team environment, as well as being self-motivated to succeed on their own. This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday - Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Benefits Include:

POSITION SUMMARY The Shipping & Receiving Clerk II position responsible for the physical processing of orders, receiving inventory, and general inventory management. This includes inventory control processes to cycle count, inspect, move, order, and dispose of stock as needed. This position is responsible for working with complex customer accounts and their own specialized programs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Receiving Responsibilities:
  • Verify and keep records of incoming shipments.
  • Receive, unpack, and put away incoming product.
Shipping Responsibilities:
  • Print, pull, check, and ship orders.
  • Verify and keep records of outgoing shipments.
  • Prepare and package items for shipments accurately.
  • Complete Certificate (CofC / CMTR's) for all noted orders
  • Assist customers at will-call.
  • Inform the Supervisor of stock-offs.
  • Maintain warehouse supply stock levels and report any items needed to the Branch Supervisor.
Inventory Control Responsibilities:
  • Clean and organize the warehouse area.
  • Perform cycle counts/inventory adjustments.
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures for maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Assist the Branch Supervisor to prepare for VMI deliveries.
In addition the Shipping & Receiving Clerk II is:
  • Responsible to assist the warehouse lead with the training and cross-training of associates.
  • Communicates effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership regarding the status of shipments.
  • Maintains a functional knowledge of complex customers and their software requirements.
  • Able to navigate Microsoft Suite (Access, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • Maintains a system of organization that allows for agility and open communication when things change.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Education
  • A two-year degree, preferably in a technical field, or equivalent work experience
Experience
  • 2 plus years of customer service, materials management, or procurement experience

  • High-level mechanical aptitude

  • Maintain annual visual acuity certification.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Standard warehouse environment including associated tools, and safety concerns.
  • Routinely lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Repeatable bending and reaching of inventory and supplies.
