Oakmont Gardens is recruiting for a hospitality focused Prep Cook to join our team! Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Prep Cook: 1. Exemplify at all times Life Care Services standards of cleanliness, sanitation and operational organization. 2. Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance and presentation standards at all times. 3. Produce and serve menu cycle programs that are compliant with required Nutritional/Dietary criteria as required by local regulations and correctly prepare diets provided per Policy and Procedure. 4. Exhibit food prep production standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency. 5. Knowledge in all areas of cooking preparation and production. 6. Visit residents periodically to evaluate food service such as quality, quantity, temperature, and appearance; and conduct evaluations to make revisions in operations / procedures to promote improved food service. 7. Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy. Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have: •The ability to speak, read and comprehend the English language •Menu presentation, food preparation, production, food delivery systems, and utility •Knowledge in all areas of local Health Department, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies relevant to culinary services •Good communication skills (oral and written) •Good inter-department communication and teamwork skills •Knowledge preparation and line production communication to other line/prep/dish person/ management staff •Willingness to be available for any/all emergencies regarding the community Wage: $19.50 Many roles in the community may require that we ask about your vaccination status.
