Position Summary:

To help provide daily support to our sales force to acquire more business for our centrifugal pump division, Gould Pumps. This includes technical support, costing, bid preparation, and product promotion. In addition to assisting other departments with engineering, production, and field service responsibilities, this role also includes updating the ePrism selection tool, and assisting with pump school and customer trainings regularly.

This role places a high emphasis on inside sales support for the Centrifugal Pumps, supporting a product that is distributed worldwide bringing in $50 Million+ per year.

This would include supporting preparation of business cases, bulletins, customer success stories, etc. & to promote company products.

Ensure a good understanding of proposals, cost to estimate margins, and how to discuss and articulate different business strategies to be competitive in the current market.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Supports Sales in acquiring orders of Centrifugal products to $50M per year worldwide.
  • Support preparation of business cases, bulletins, success stories to promote products
  • Good understanding of proposals cost to estimate margins and discuss strategic winning propositions to be competitive in the market
  • Assist Sales force (direct/indirect) by providing technical information, costing, and application support.
  • Determine product and buy-out cost estimates. Lead on-going value engineering projects to reduce product costs.
  • Manage orders for special products including interpretation of specifications and schedule management.
  • Prepare promotional product newsletters and presentations including customer and pump school training.
  • Assist R&D Engineers with product engineering, analysis, and design to fully meet customers requirements.
  • Assist Assembly and Test as required to resolve technical and contractual issues to meet customers requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and field problem resolution (for both Assigned Products and Others as directed by inquiry volume)
Position Requirements:

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering is required (Mechanical or Industrial preferred)

Engineered product knowledge is a plus.

1 year+ related experience in the mechanical or industrial setting.

Experience in rotating equipment or engineered Products is a plus.
