Assistant Swimming Coach
Long Island University (LIU), an NCAA DI institution, is seeking an Assistant Swimming Coach to join our competitive swimming program. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in swimming, coaching, and athlete development, and will contribute to fostering a positive and successful environment for our
student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in planning and conducting practice sessions and providing technical feedback.
* Support recruitment by scouting talent and promoting the program.
* Help prepare for meets, manage team logistics, and ensure athlete readiness.
* Handle administrative tasks, including record-keeping and equipment management.
* Mentor student-athletes and balance athletics with academics.
* Ensure compliance with NCAA and university regulations and promote safety.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a related field; master's preferred.
* Experience in coaching or swimming at the collegiate level.
* Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and competition strategies.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* CPR, First Aid, and AED certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
* Two-to-Four years of full-time experience working in collegiate or professional Athletics.
