GENERAL PURPOSE:
Supervises and manages Imaging technical and support staff. Works closely and in concert with IS Nursing, Clerical, IT, Faculty and staff to achieve maximum productivity with efficient and safe patient throughput while maintaining optimal customer and patient/family satisfaction.
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Under general direction and with considerable latitude for exercise of independent judgment, serves as Manager of Imaging Operations for the Department of Imaging Sciences.
+ Provides management of imaging technical and technical support staff.
+ Takes lead on decisions related to recruitment, hiring, transfers, promotions, discipline and termination in accordance with UR policies.
+ Plans work schedules and allocates staff.
+ Implements and enforces strict Quality Control over assigned section or units.
+ Reviews, edits and approves data and results generated in his/her area(s) for general correctness and analytic reliability.
+ Ensures that instrumentation, equipment and supplies are kept in good working order. Arranges for additional maintenance service as needed and in accordance with established policy.
+ Designs and conducts studies for updating of methodologies and assists in the evaluation of new instrumentation and products.
+ Develops, updates and implements technical training for staff on protocols, procedures, applications and hardware.
+ Develops and maintains staff competencies in accordance with URMC and JCAHO standards
+ Performs duties of an assistant supervisor or a clinical technologist as needed.
+ Communicates and occasionally confers with director(s) and medical staff concerning studies.
+ Keeps abreast of new developments in his/her respective field of Imaging Sciences equipment.
+ Conducts Personnel Performance reviews. Evaluates performance of personnel for which he/she has direct responsibility in accordance with established format. Conducts Evaluation Interviews.
+ Supervises the efficient operation of his/her section or unit(s) to assure prompt reporting of laboratory results.
**REQUIREMENTS:**
Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of clinical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. School of Radiologic Technology, Diagnostic US, and Nuclear Medicine or like Diagnostic Program. NYS licensure (if applicable) and ARRT certification in one of the following: Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Diagnostic US or MRI required.

**Pay Range**
Pay Range: $84,032 - $109,242 Annually
_The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._
