**Warehouse Quality Control Associate, Starting at $17.75/Hour**

The Quality Control Associate is responsible for observing established food safety and quality assurance functions as assigned by the Quality Department in support of our commitment to our customers and of our Mission Statement. The Associate must be able to execute all quality functions and can assist other team members in the proper execution of all quality tasks. Additionally, interacts across inter-departmental boundaries in a professional, proactive manner, avoiding conflicts and exemplifying a collaborative spirit.

**Pay and Schedule:**

* Pay: Starting at 17.75/hr based on experience.

* Schedule: Varies by Department.

* Approximately 40 hours per week.

* Some overtime may be required.

* **Weekend availability is required.**

**What you'll be doing:**

* Ensure all Quality Control SOPs, SSOPs and GMPs for our production center is being followed by other team members.

* Follow basic food safety practices, both preventative and responsive as instructed by Leadership Team.

* Assess risk and categorizing it according to likelihood and severity.

* Create and conduct process audits, inspection criteria and procedures.

* Accurately assess, document, and share the results of testing acidity of products using a pH meter.

* Assess, document, and share the results of environmental monitoring using a luminometer.

* Perform a root cause analysis and suggest corrective actions to Department Manager.

* Ability to give oral presentations on training materials in a group setting.

* Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate customer issues and complaints relating to quality.

* Engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high quality in products and throughout the production cycle.

* Document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.

* Implement inspection criteria and procedures.

* Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within company.

* Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.

* Maintain active role on internal continuous improvement teams.

* Provide support in all areas related to lab and testing of products for quality control purposes.

**Who you are, and why you're right for us:**

* Demonstrate experience in quality assurance or quality control environment in a food production facility.

* Working knowledge of USDA and FDA food regulations preferred.

* Ability to plan and prioritize workload.

* Ability to read and follow written and/or verbal instructions accurately in English.

* Attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness, and flexibility required.

* Strong computer skills and basic math skills and with a minimum passing score of 80% on both tests.

* Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

* Must uphold and follow workplace safety, food safety, and production quality standards.

* Ability to work in high stress/fast-paced environment with multiple change-overs.

* Must be willing and able to work a variety of shifts and overtime as required; even on short notice.

* Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, in group settings, be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
