In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling the preparation of outgoing shipments and the receipt of incoming goods. Your duties will include organizing inventory, maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse, and ensuring the accuracy of shipments. This position requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process outgoing shipments by packaging items securely and arranging transportation.
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, documenting any damages or discrepancies.
  • Organize and manage inventory for easy retrieval, ensuring accurate and timely updates in the inventory system.
  • Place merchandise in designated warehouse locations, using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, regularly cataloging and storing items.
  • Review incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain efficient and productive operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and practices, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
Receiving Clerk QualificationsQualifications:
  • Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse role is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in a busy environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
  • Basic knowledge of agricultural equipment and parts is an asset.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift/move heavy equipment and parts (up to 50 lbs).
  • Familiarity with operating forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Customer-focused with a positive attitude.
  • Previous experience in parts counter operations is a plus.
Working Conditions:
  • Work is primarily in a warehouse environment with some outdoor exposure.
  • May involve exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions.
  • Physical requirements include lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Weekend work may be required based on operational needs.
  • Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace.
  • Must maintain a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record. A commercial driver's license (CDL) may be required, along with certification for operating material handling equipment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift and handle heavy loads up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to tolerate temperature shifts inherent to a shop environment and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • The position requires regular walking, standing, stooping, and transporting materials or parts within OSHA limits.
