Write the next chapter of your ABB story.This position reports toProduction SupervisorYour role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to support the unit in achieving the set production targets by adhering to the systems and processes. Each day, you will use machinery and equipment on the shop floor. You will also showcase your expertise by reading and interpreting the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels. You will be mainly accountable for: Conducting all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including the packing where integrated with production lines. Performing work manually or by using light hand tools. Carrying out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process. Operating within standard operating procedures and maintaining a clean work area. This position works 10 hour shifts Monday - Thursday, with OT as needed to meet customer demand.Qualifications for the role Safely complete tasks and participate in team safety programs Position parts according to unit being assembled or follow blueprint Fastens parts together with bolts, washers, screws, speed, clips, rivets, or other fasteners Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts Operate hand tools, small presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation Hand packs and seals assembled fittings and parts into containers for ship-ping Other duties as assigned High School or equivalent One to three months related experience/training or combination Able to add, subtract 2 digit numbers and multiply/divide by 10 or 100 accurately Able to understand U.S. currency, weight measurement, volume, and distance Able to understand/perform detailed written/verbal instruction Able to maintain accuracy with variable in standardized situationMore about usWe value people from different backgrounds.
