At Fives, we all have a part to play in achieving our common mission. Your role will be:

* Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from the workpiece, using file, hand grinder, or wire brush

* Assists machine operators in setting up machines and stack, mark, pack, and transport finished workpieces

* Measures workpiece dimensions using a rule, template, or other measuring instruments to determine the accuracy of machine operation

* Performs minor machine maintenance, such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces

* May rivet and spot-weld workpieces

* May tend machines that fabricate and assemble sheet metal products

* Plate and structural layout using squares, center heads, tape measure, and other measuring devices

* Operate hand torch, hand plasma, and track burner

* Operate an overhead crane and jib hoist

* 2+ years of related experience and training or an equivalent combination of education and experience

* Experience reading and interpreting documents such as fabrication drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

* Previous experience in heavy manufacturing
