Housekeeper Job Description
Shift Details
The Housekeepers are responsible for performing all housekeeping activities such as, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, laundry, cleaning bathrooms, taking out the trash and cleaning surfaces in resident rooms. Responsibilities also include restocking common areas, resident rooms and bathrooms.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Housekeeping
Follow detailed cleaning procedures for each room and common area
Responsible for the set-up and mixing of water and detergents, in proper containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications
Follow procedures for the use of certain chemical cleaners and equipment
Clean common area and resident room(s) floors and walls by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and / or vacuuming
Dust furniture, walls, and equipment which include moving furniture around
Clean windows and mirrors, using cleaners and sponges
Gather and empty trash throughout the facility
Ensure all bathrooms are stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, and soap
Physical Requirements of the Job
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE- CERTIFICATION
Education: High School Diploma/ GED required
One (1) year job related experience
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Understanding of infection control procedures
Demonstrate the ability to Multi task and Manage job duties
Understands and embraces Teamwork and Punctuality
Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours, according to our patient needs
Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
