Morgan Stanley's extensive business relationships and global network ofresources afford our private equity and credit teams as well as our portfolio companies' unparalleled access toleading corporations, executive talent, as well as competitive deal sourcing advantages.Role Description:Private Credit & Equity (PC&E) consists of a team of 270+ professionals globally managing ~$40 billion of clientcapital in direct private equity and credit investment across a broad spectrum of industries. We are seeking adynamic Vice President / Senior Associate to join the PC&E management team reporting directly to the ChiefOperating Officer. Candidates should have a keen desire to get involved in wide range of projects and initiatives,with the goal of obtaining broad exposure across multiple strategies. The candidate will contribute to a wide rangeof strategic and operational activities including the following:A significant portion of the candidate's time will be focused on evolving PC&E's ESG integration efforts. Responsibilities will include the following:Assist in the development of an annual private equity / private credit sustainability reportResearch best practices and emerging trends in ESG within the PE/PC spaceConduct ongoing benchmarking analysis, examining activities in private debt and private equity with regards to fundraising, integration efforts, initiatives, etc.Help evolve integration processes and standards partnering with investment teams as neededPartner with investment teams to develop ESG case studies for each strategyAssist in implementing portfolio company ESG metrics and monitoring across strategies; recommend metrics based on industry analysisWork with divisional and firm‐level sustainability focused teams on wide range of initiatives (e.g. net zero)Assist with annual PRI questionnaire responseAssist in responding in DDQs/RFPs as it pertains to ESGAssist in developing content for annual training for private equity / private credit investment teamsAssist as needed on ESG related diligenceGeneral management responsibilities will include:Marketing / investor related activities:Help develop and maintain marketing content for platformPartner with marketing team to ensure timely updates to websiteSupport special projects, such as portfolio company marketing videosAssist with performance benchmarking across funds/platformAssist in planning and logistics pertaining to annual investor conference, including developing agenda, speaker/panel preparation, execution of eventTechnology related initiatives:Help implement portfolio monitoring solution across strategiesRespond to requests for new technology and market data solutionsResearch best practices and solutions to business needs, including emerging technology (e.g. data science)General risk related activities across platform (e.g. ensuring BCP plans are maintained, ensuring compliance with ongoing technology and operational risk management activities, reviewing/approving exceptions, etc.)New product development efforts as neededSupport recruiting and talent development activities, including D&I related initiativesPlatform‐wide reporting and analysisRespond to ad‐hoc requests across strategiesSpace managementQualificationsMBA preferred3‐8 years of experience in a related function (operational, strategic, or administrative position)ESG related experienceKnowledge and experience with alternatives, specifically private equity and private credit strategiesStrong organizational, analytical and financial skillsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to and work with broad range of styles and personalitiesExcellent communication skillsStrong capabilities in Excel and PowerPointAbility to work and think independently under time constraintsHigh commitment and strong self –motivation; entrepreneurial spiritCommitted to delivering the highest quality work product; strong attention to detailAbility to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasksExpected base pay rates for the role will be between $105,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
