Overview
Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for an IT Support Technician in New York, NY. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and offers outstanding benefits.
Responsibilities
* User account setup and maintenance.
* New user, computer, mobile device and peripheral setup, maintenance, and support.
* Primary contact for user and systems support.
* User training including security training.
* Must be able to document problem resolutions within trouble tickets and maintain written documentation.
* Monitor dashboards and respond to incidents/alerts.
* System imaging and deployment.
* Periodic travel to our satellite offices.
* Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
* Education: Bachelor's degree (computer science or related technology field preferred); Will consider an Associate degree with relevant certifications.
* Relevant IT certifications highly desirable.
* 3-5 years' IT support experience in a Windows environment; professional office experience preferred.
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
* Strong people and communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in work.
* Experience with Active Directory, Print Management, and Windows Server.
* Proficiency with troubleshooting end user computer, mobile devices, remote access, and A/V issues, including hardware, software, network, and Windows OS.
* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
* Video conferencing (Zoom preferred).
