A real estate asset investment firm is seeking a dynamic Acquisitions Associate to join their growing Acquisitions Sales team. The successful candidate will begin their journey in New York City, undergoing a comprehensive 6-month training program before permanently transferring to the West Palm Beach, FL location for this role. The firm, with over $6B in AUM, acquires more than half a billion in assets annually and manages over 5,000 properties nationwide. Owned by a larger parent company with over $60B in assets, the firm provides a unique opportunity for career growth within the commercial real estate sector.

The Acquisitions Associate will work directly with one of the VP, Acquisitions, learning the intricacies of the business and contributing to the firm's operating income through national acquisitions. This role involves collaboration with the VP, Acquisitions, and Partners to navigate the deal-closing process as a team. The model allows the Acquisitions Associate to gain valuable experience in a niche area of commercial real estate, develop essential sales skills, and potentially advance to a full VP, Acquisitions (VPA) role within 6-12 months.

Day to Day:

The Acquisitions team focuses on reaching out to landowners with existing Telecom/Cell Tower leases, acquiring copies of the leases, valuating them in collaboration with internal teams, pitching offers to landowners, and incorporating these leases into the firm's portfolio. The Acquisitions Associate will serve as the opener, initiating contact with landowners through phone calls, emails, and other channels. They will later introduce the VP, Acquisitions, or Partner to assist in finalizing the deal. The role includes leveraging the company's proprietary database with thousands of cold and warm leads, while a dedicated team maintains and updates the lead pipeline.

The Acquisitions Associate will earn a base salary and additional incentives such as commission for closed deals during this role. Upon promotion to a full VPA role, they will receive full commission on the acquisitions they close.

Must Have:

Cold calling experience/any sales experience

Strong interest in learning and breaking into commercial real estate

Strong phone presence

Professionalism, intelligence, drive, and hunger for success

Excellent communication skills and a gritty, competitive personality

Ability to be onsite in the NYC office four days per week

Plus:

Commercial real estate experience

Knowledge of Telecom lease business, including cell towers and/or billboards
