Job Description

Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as hybrid. The successful candidate is expected to report to Austin, Atlanta, Mountain View, or Warren three times per week, at minimum.

The Role: This HR Team Lead will provide direct leadership for 2-4 HR professionals and, if needed, fill the potential role as the Lead HRBP for a business partner(s). The following describe capabilities and experiences that this leader should possess:

  • Growth mindset and passion for enhancing the delivery of world-class HR practices in a changing organization.
  • Strong in active listening and analytical thinking (with data/research) to support employees/leaders with the changing organization's needs.
  • Strong client focus and results orientation with proven ability to consult, uncover business and client needs, and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to work comfortably and effectively with senior leadership and at all levels of the organization.
  • Comprehensive understanding of how to coach, guide, and counsel leaders.
  • Proven organizational design and change management abilities that encourage effective change and sustain it.
  • Strong ability to remain objective and exercise good judgment, decision-making, diplomacy, and discretion.
  • A proven track record of depicting data (headcount, corresponding financials, engagement, etc.) in an executive summary with strong storytelling and insights to drive informed action-taking.
  • Demonstrated situational judgment and investigative problem-solving.
  • Persuasive communication and influencing skills with the ability to make compelling cases for solutions and influence action.
  • Demonstrated collaboration and influencing leadership to ensure the overall impact we are striving for across HR is common/consistent.
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and develop a team of HR Business Partners to work together to deliver results and accelerate the performance of GM's software organization.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources/related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Data-driven with the proven ability to analyze, interpret, and influence recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.
  • Proven track record for working independently, taking initiative, and delivering results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Highly proficient use of Microsoft Office applications and Workday.
  • Inclusive leadership.

Compensation:

  • The expected base compensation for this role is $98,900 – $158,000 USD Annually.
  • Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
