Position Summary:

The Team Leader has the support role for the Group Leader on team improvement activities and provides input and assistance to the Group Leader on team needs, problems and resolutions. We are looking for a dependable, personable individual who has an eye for quality, management experience and has the ability to multi-task.

Job Responsibilities:

  • With minimal supervision, ensures production is operating according to units per specifications prescribed on the Tiara Yachts work instructions.
  • Assigns work to the team to ensure completion of daily production requirements.
  • Assists Group Leader in planning and scheduling the department's work.
  • Monitors the team's work to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Must be able to read and understand units of measure.
  • Communicates the current product, process or material constraints or issues to the team leader.
  • Must be accustomed to physical tasks for long periods of time, including standing, kneeling, lifting up to 40 lbs, bending, using hands, and working with various materials.
  • Must have basic computer knowledge and basic math skills.
  • Able to fill in for absent or vacationing employees.
  • Provides input to Group Leader for employee performance evaluations.
  • Provides leadership for Continuous Improvement activities.
  • When asked, assists with training team members to develop job knowledge and improve performance.
  • Coaches team members in areas of quality, safety, housekeeping, schedule, productivity and team behavior.
  • Maintains daily labor tracking records and other required production records.
  • Promotes an upbeat attitude.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management.

Education and Experience:

  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience in specified field.

  • Pass a background check, drug test, and physical.
  • Ability to work overtime as requested.
  • Promote a safe and clean work environment.
  • Willingness to work on a team or individually.
  • Able to follow manufacturing instructions and understand processes.
  • Must practice PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) policies as mandated per area (Use safety glasses/goggles, hearing protection, etc.).
  • Must follow company safety guidelines.
  • Must be fluent in the English language.
