Short Description

Supervise engineers, mechanics, and motormen in the Deck department

Supervise and assist maintenance and repairs on equipment

Coordinate maintenance and repairs on deck equipment

Assist with timely administration in the daily log

Perform independent watchkeeping duties

Ensure, and when necessary intervene, on safe operation of deck equipment under supervision

Ensure correct work procedures

Responsible for thorough shift handover, verbally and in writing

Assist with future planning

Qualifications

Mechanical engineer with general technical education (MTS level)

Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Sufficient experience in offshore construction equipment including, but not limited to, pipe handling equipment, automatic welding systems, pipe tensioners, A&R equipment, and ROV equipment

Experience with deck equipment, including but not limited to winches, deck cranes, lifesaving appliances, and compressed air systems

Familiar with hydraulics and controls of hydraulic systems

Familiar with PLC systems
