Must Have Responsibilities

  • Follow all required safety practices, guidelines and company procedures
  • Keep your work area, inside the factory and the Quest grounds safe, clean, and organized at all times
  • Report all safety incidents immediately to your direct manager or member of Safety Team
  • Maintain good attendance and be at your work area prior to the shift start bell
  • Take breaks at designated times and do not leave your work area before the horn end of shift bell
  • Be able to work in a team environment
  • Provide support and train other team members as instructed
  • Learn and understand Lean Manufacturing concepts
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of product, processes and customer expectations
  • Monitor the quality of output to identify, discard or re-manufacture faulty products
  • Perform related or other responsibilities as required or assigned to meet customer and production requirements
  • Perform any and all reasonable requests from management

Additional Responsibilities

  • Ensures all Materials team production goals are met, oversees the daily activities of the Materials team (Material Handlers, Material Expeditors …..)
  • Assist to ensure forklift operations and receiving is completed in a safe and efficient way
  • Update Microsoft Excel inventory planning sheets and update web-based inventory ERP system
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy in assigned area(s) of responsibility
  • Assists in maintaining accurate inventory counts by performing daily cycle counts of locations and parts; monitoring put-away activities and research inventory discrepancies found during picking
  • Ensure cycle count schedule is followed for all commodities
  • Identify, investigate, and eliminate inventory count variances through review of cycle count data sheets
  • Ensure inventory inbound/outbound transactions occur timely and accurately
  • Audit inbound material for quality and quantity
  • High attention to detail a must; ability to accurately report inventory count quantities with different unit of measure
  • Verifies quantities and descriptions of items against purchase order and posts receipt of materials to computer
  • Promptly communicates to purchasing team problems or discrepancies with incoming packages or goods
  • Works closely with production areas regarding urgent needs of incoming items to ensure prompt delivery to floor
  • Works closely with procurement team to ensure accurate records of receipts.
  • Engage in cross training to maintain flexibility and adaptability to support resource planning, reduce exposure to injury and increase continuous improvement suggestions
  • Proficiently perform all jobs within designated area and demonstrate a willingness to rotate to other areas as needs arise. Fill in to support operations as needed
  • Attend and participate in all required meetings by being on time and contributing in a positive and open-minded manner
  • Follow lineup schedule as defined by management
  • Understand and accept internal and external customer expectations, adjust to changing needs within business by being flexible and adaptable
  • Maintain a respectful workplace environment, an orderly workplace and a positive attitude toward change and others
  • Understand and perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure the continuous flow of production that meets planned output while identifying and escalating issues and improvements

What you will bring along

Required Qualification and Skills:

  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide product that typically may weigh up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for duration of shift
  • Able to work in a non-climate-controlled factory environment
  • Highest attention to the quality of work performed
  • English communication skills - oral and written
  • Basic math skills including the ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, divide and read a standard tape measure
  • Be willing to learn and rotate through multiple positions as business needs requires
  • Pre-employment background check & drug screening are required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including some overtime and weekends
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire and apply continuous improvement, lean and manufacturing system principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualification and Skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and motivate people
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Window aluminum industry experience
  • Forklift certified/ Mobile Equipment experience
